CJ Schutt
Lori Schutt

Dr. Jeff Schutt

During his high school career he played multiple sports of football, basketball and track and field. At the collegiate level, he played basketball and threw the javelin in track and field. Strength training was just coming into the high school system in the early 80’s and he noticed that the kids who worked on the farm or in construction had much greater functional strength than the kids who didn’t.

Dr. Schutt later learned during his research as a chiropractor who specialized in sports performance enhancement that the fascia or the connective tissue developing in a certain way under certain stresses is what can set one athlete above others in performance. By combining strength training with the right amount of speed, agility and plyometric exercises then making sure the athlete has the proper nutrition and rest to let the body adapt, athletes can greatly increase their performance.

Dr. Schutt also learned from research and years of experience that this takes time to develop. It does not happen overnight. The consistent training over years is what it takes to slowly develop the fascia, bones and muscles of the body to act like a fine tuned spring.

Lori Schutt

Lori Schutt grew up on a farm in Nebraska. She enjoyed being active and helping with the farm work. These chores developed a core strength in her body which served her well later in sports as she competed in cheerleading, volleyball and track in high school. In college, she competed on the diving club, cross country team and track.

Lori graduated from Concordia College in 1987 with a degree in History and Physical Education.  After interning with the legendary Bob Gajda, Lori joined Dr. Schutt in their clinic Muscle in Motion as a Registered Kinesiotherapist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

At the age of 39, a year after having their fourth boy Lori competed in and won the National Master’s Track and Field 400 meter event for her age group.  She continues to enjoy running and working out.

Lori realized early in her career that exercise is an important part of staying young and living a productive life. She also learned how important nutrition is for supplying her body with the right nutrients to keep it at optimal performance. Lori is a Certified Sports Nutritionist and has used that knowledge to help her clients achieve their optimal health as well helping her four boys all have productive and successful athletic careers in school.

Lori teaches a women’s group class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings as well as private training sessions during the day. Her expertise is in track and field, general fitness and nutrition.
